Lee Lacy hits a grand slam that's ruled a three run single
Pirates 8, Reds 7 in Pittsburgh
May 14, 1982: Lee Lacy came to the plate in B8 with the bases loaded and hit a grand slam to CF off Tom Hume at Three Rivers Stadium. However, while celebrating his run around the bases, Lacy passed Omar Moreno between first and second. He was credited with a single and three runs batted in.
Grandma notes say, “In 8I Lacy’s hit should have been a GS HR but he passed Moreno in the base path.”
Also you can see in T8 that Dan Driessen hits his 100th career home run.
