Johnny Bench Ties Yogi Berra With Home Run #313

July 12, 1980: Johnny Bench hit a home run off Bill Bordley in B4 for his 313th as a catcher tying the great Yogi Berra. This was his 346th career home run, but his 313th while catching. He ended his career with 389 home runs. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989.
