Fan Fell from the Stands, Jay Bell Home Run

May 1, 1991: Pirates beat Reds 6 – 4 after Jay Bell hit a game winning 2-run home run (Deep LF-CF) off Randy Myers.  Grandma’s notes say, “A fan fell over the railing and now there is a delay in top of 9I, 2 out, 1 at bat they are still looking after him. They brought a stretcher with wheels to take him out on, put a neck brace around his neck & are taking him out very very carefully with the way they move. Wouldn’t you know it? The next man at bat (Jay Bell) hit a home run when they started play-it had to be the Pirates inning, then the next one sto (strikeout) for the 3rd out now it 6-4 against the Reds and only bottom of the 9th inning to play. Reds lost 4-6”
